It's hard to answer . . . Do you know love at first sight?!
Well, this happened between us and the city!
With the birth of our son, we thought we would turn our lives around. We have always liked cold countries and Finland had a certain charm for us.
So after only two visits to the nation, here we are with our restaurant and our new life!

Born in Cava de Tirreni, Marta spent hours in the kitchen of her father Mario (a chef himself) before starting her professional journey, where she had the opportunity to work with the 2 Michelin Star Chef Antonio Guida at the "Il Pellicano" restaurant in Porto Ercole. Together with her father, Marta then founded the "La Scintilla" restaurant, after which she joined the iconic "Al Tramezzo" restaurant in Parma as Pastry Chef and, later, Executive Chef, until 2022, when she moved to Oulu to found "Italica Taberna"
Born in Parma, Filippo has been always surrounded by wines and bubbles, growing in the family restaurant "Al Tramezzo" where is father was the Maitre. Filippo has gained a considerable knowledge of wines and champagne, developing a personal and professional "connoisseur" profile which brought him to later become the Maitre of "Al Tramezzo". He held this position until 2022, when he moved to Oulu to found "Italica Taberna".
